Building Prefabs
I build and unwrapped my environment prefabs for my library. I had some issues with the Maya UV because it was a long time for me when I did that the last time. With some help from Rachel I finally made an UV Map for both and could use Mudbox to put some textures and color on the objects.Afterwards I converted the Diffuse-Color into a Normal and Bump Map in Photoshop.
But with the finished textured objects I had to get them into Unity and be able to put different textures onto my books. My first try was with putting the shelf and the books different objects into it but that made my Hierarchy huge and I was not really to have a good oversight about everything.
My next try was with combine the different meshes to one so I had one mesh for the bookshelf and one for the book rows. To get to this solution I needed some time of exporting and combining.
